Deepsea

Deepsea

The sea so deep under Phoebe’s pale ole gaze,

Clear like the sky so bright in her fair rays

Her bottom a whole world of dream-wrought glaze,

And on her rippled mirror-coat stars hang ablaze.

Come tomorrow – her majestic grace will go berserk

And her wondrous black gorge-world will shake

Clutching with her myriad limbs like giant rakes

Into watery graves – buried countries that will lurk.

Today she’s roaring torrents, tomorrow gurgling streams,

Harmony, neverending all bursting at the seams –

This is the seed of her darkened being, or so it seems.

This is the heart that’s pumping inside the sea of old.

For she cares not – about the feelings that we, mortals, hold -

Oh, stone cold, lonesome sea, oh, truth be told!

Justificare - Bullseye (?!)

La-la (Is)land

Here they stand
The thorny lovers sleeping
In the weary sand.
Their traces just like limbs
Severed and broken
Littering battlefields
Of sleepless mines
Awoken.

Here on their dusty island
Blinded lovers are a-leaping
Hand knit with hand.
Their fingers clutched
Saintly the branches
Spat out by palmtrees
In their stormy dances
Shaking the coconuts tanned.

It’s here that they reprimand
The lovers not bent, not weeping,
With hopes alight all young and bland
For saving in large bowls the rains of tears
For giving birth to deep and salty pools
For cradling away the ancient fears.
They lie lids open, oh, the soggy fools!
[With their hearts playing in a marching band.]

Muşc-oraş

Picioarele mele ca nişte ciocǎnele

Bat asfaltul, îi fac vânǎtǎi.

Ia, ascultǎ, ce-ar fi sǎ-mi laşi

Degetele libere?

Cozonac.

Paradoacsa

Poezia mereu şchioapǎ

Dar mereu cǎlare

Pe mii de picioare

Ca un miriapod

Mergând pe apǎ.

Trezie

N-are rost sa sa te mai visez.

Ia pofteste, mataluta,
Afara din visele mele!
Ca doar nu vreau sa para mediocre
Si impanate cu cliseuri
pe care le spargi mereu,
Cand sunt bine mersi cu ochii deschisi.

Multumesc,
Acum m-am imprietenit cu desteptatorul.
Il chem la ceai din ce in ce mai des.

Ars patetica

Sunt o maidaneza de tobogan.
Un copil de sotron.
O fetita de mingi.
O sandala de nisip.
O inghititoare de valuri.
Un pitic de ciment.

Sunt o poeta vagaboanda.
Un stecker de acoperis.
O prinzatoare de scame.
O hoata de buzunare goale.
Un om in patru labe.
Un pahar plin cu ziare.

Sunt o macara de gradina.
O nebuna de trefla.
O stergatoare de urme.
Un horn la calorifer.
Un evantai cu surprize.
O guma de mestecat tare.

Si cand scriu,
Totul devine adecvat,
Compartimentat,

Mainile mele sunt infasurate in jurul
genunchilor,

Decat sa despici firul in patru, sa-l separi,
Tragi de legaturi si se desfac valvoi.

Pe razboiul de tesut m-am incurcat in urzeala,

Little earthquake

I slide easily along your loopy words, making necklaces from the beads of my cold tears asleep on red cheeks,
I slide on the threads of my bordeaux stockings, along the spring scent, on the loom of the thoughts woven tightly,
I slide off the creases of a reeling cabbage skirt, on a tall cement slide in the park,
And you're always at the end of the slide with arms wide open to catch me, even if the
steps to the top are creaking and rocking like mad,
I slide across my fears and along my scuttled-ship shoes,
And in this long and winding slide, with crazy land gaping in the void,
With eyes gawking at the world and lips crooning to the wind,
Your arms are clutching me, your breath drowning the soul magma,
Words shoot out: Fiat lux.
The muddy eyes are seared shut, the dirty and cracked lips are sewn together,
My shoes come off, the great earthen rift sinks back into oblivion,
I stop sliding.
(And there's rainbow-flavoured candy melting on my tongue.)

Postcard of Longing

Love Letter to The Man

Oh, Leonard, how you made my deep dark nights in swabs of cotton-brained lives...
Oh, Leonard, how your words would tangle in my hair, how'd they tangle my thoughts up in balls,
Oh, Leonard, how you called out to my soul in your songs.
And I always came, I always yielded to whatever call [of spite, of love, of lust, of tears, of fear, of goodbye, of semen, of need, of old souls passing, of loyalty, of humbleness, of vassality, of magic and wonder, of self, of wounds, of song, of verse, of memory].
I always yielded to the growls in the night in the dead hours of stilness when babies are killed by the lull of their cots,
when hair falls in bunches on pillows and sweat drips like crazy tears on our bodies,
when the sky is nothing but the black water washing over the hounds guarding silence,
when sounds are hoodwinked into making patterns and secret songs
when thoughts tangle up and people die countless deaths in the arms of their dreams,
yet I refuse this gift of death and choose your voice.

Underwater days

The endless soup of time
drowned me deep inside it.
Made my fingers fling
across the keys like jelly.
The endless soup of time spiced with bits
of bread getting moist
For the teeth of the lazy.
The endless soup of time has
no warning drowning peril sign
For the little girl not to sail
in her bread crumb bark.
The endless soup of time is
thick and full of angeldust
Had me kidnapped and hooked on
The remains of the day
In front of the daring screen.
The endless soup of time is
Never surely shallow or steep
And I could sink or I could swim.
The endless soup of time dimmed
All the feelings and all the pain
But it coloured in gaudy days
Every lifesaver I could spot.
The endless soup of time lurking
In every gap between
A word and an answer.
The endless soup of waiting
Drove me mad and tamed my soul
To a bottle filled with smoke.

Carnival whores

A story of young poets who know not whether they are so.
A story of not being able to say anything out loud.
A story that the day held in its clutches
Of red wine and of chocolate
and heartache tea.

A story of the lazy morning
A story of the heat under the nightgown
A story of dreams stitched together like
cut-out girls.
Down on their knees
with scorched skin.

A story of the red badge of courage
A story of my own feelings poured inside Willie
A story of an empty pen
Where the woods of my madness
Grow dark.

A story told behind a screen
A story of the kettles simpering
A poem like a forceps inside me.
Where no word will come out
Of its own accord.

A story where beauty is obscured
A story where paradise is lost
A story of the parasites munching my silence.
I lost my fortress of dreams
and am building a new one.

Yes I will tell you that story.

Drum in lucru

I got blisters on my fingers de la cat am tinut de tine.
This, m'dear is bye-bye to the straight face, bye-bye to your demons.
Goodbye loneliness, hello dreameress...

Cheap Stolen Song

All the umbrellas in London
Couldn't hold my tears for you
All the raincoats together
Couldn't stop them flooding through.

All the corner policemen
In their parkas grey and blue
Dispensed several directions
That I should just pull through.

This place seems so empty
Since I lost your name
Wish I could bake cookies
And learn to be tame. To be taaaame. To be taaame.

And my heart in pieces
It just couldn't tell
Whether I had only lost it
Or was sentenced to hell.
Gone to hell...

Face yet uncarved slab of marble,
Eyes hidden deep within the palms
You come to my soul in a gargle
Of uneasy qualms.

My soul googles closely
At your featureless smile
Wish you came around
And we walked a mile
Alongside. Alongside.

Whistle for the deaf...

Today I'm no longer a shepherdess
Of my own words.
They bleat like mad inside the mouth.
My lips will never part today.
The great unrest inside the mind
Shall not burst out
To no end tamed.
For today I bask in silence.

The tongue, my faithful Palate Collie
Shall keep all sounds in check.
Enameled pebbles, white picket fences,
Shall never let the pilgrims
Go their straightforward way.
Les voleurs de pommes vont
etre attrapes entres les cul-terreux
et les culs-de-jattes.

Descantecs

Ia uite, acum e din nou frumos afara,
asa ca poti sa deschizi gura ca
sa intre soarele,
si-apoi s-o inchizi
si sa-l prinzi [hap!].
Ca sa te
incalzesti la limba,
sa spui lucruri frumoase.
Sa-l tii putin sub limba

In grupe de bacalaureati

Frati varstnici fara numar unui quijote orb.
